The course specifically caters to the students who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and related fields. It is a skill based training program which imparts knowledge to students regarding all aspects of classroom teaching.

Eligibility

Graduate and /or Post Graduate with 50% marks or Equivalent Grade; Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science & Mathematics with 55% Marks or any other qualification equivalent

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate course offered for those interested in pursuing a career in teaching. The B.Ed. degree is mandatory for teaching at the Secondary (classes 6 to 10) and Higher Secondary (10+2 or classes 11 and 12). While students from the Humanities stream are trained to teach subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Commerce and languages, the students from the Science stream are trained to teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. After B.Ed., students can pursue Master of Education (M.Ed.) in any Indian University or Teachers’-Training Institutes offering the course.
