M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics)

Introduction to the Programme:

The program Masters in Applied Mathematics is a beginning step towards both Industry as well Academic/research career. For students who have completed their graduation with Mathematics as core subject, and who want to pursue their career as an academician in the field of Mathematics, this programme should be the very next logical step. After completion of this programme a student may acquire in depth theoretical knowledge of analyzing logical arguments to prove mathematical concepts and ability to critically evaluate theories, methods, principles, and applications of pure and applied science.

This programme brings fundamental computer knowledge of computer science that will be gained parallel to Mathematics. The adequate computer knowledge which will make them industry friendly. Work in teams on multi-disciplinary projects in research organizations and industries during Summer Internships in various industries and reputed Research Organizations will help the students to think outside the box and ignite the young minds with scientific inquisitiveness. Inclusion of Projects, Dissertations, Seminars on Contemporary Research in Mathematics.

Programme Educational Objective:

PEO 01: Graduate will have ability to pursue and undertake inter-departmental research activity in institutes of higher learning.
